Mahler & LeWitt Design Project
University of East London

Former guest curator Tony Tremlett and MLS curator and co-director Guy Robertson guided third year UEL design students in a theoretical redevelopment of two semi-detached houses in De Beauvoir town in Hackney as an imagined London base for the residency program. The project was organised by former artist in residence and Program Leader in BA (hons) Interior Design at University of East London, Dr. Keef Winter.

The designs are intended to reflect the unique and productive live-work layouts of the residency campus in Spoleto, considering the balance between private and public spaces and the provision of a range of facilities. The proposed designs are to include a link ‘bridge’ building between the two sites and should be environmentally conscious.

We will update this page with examples of the students proposals.
